Let Us.........

Let us consistently choose the single goal of peace rather than multiple goals that lead to conflict.

Let us continue to practice forgiveness and to see each other and ourselves as blameless.

Let us look lovingly upon the present, for it holds only knowledge that is forever true.

Let us continue to be involved in a process of personal transformation in which we are only concerned about giving and not about getting.

Let us recognise that we are united as one Self and illuminate the world with the Light of Love that shines through us.

Let us awaken to the knowledge that the essence of our being is Love, and, as such, we are the Light of the World.

I choose the feelings I experience, and I decide upon the goal I would achieve.
And everything that seems to happen to me,
I ask for, and receive as I have asked.

I love this photo. I was outside the orphanage in Rwanda, Africa in Nov 2006 taking photos of the people walking by and was so lucky to capture this contrasting image of the different way people reacted to the camera.

Peggy this is so inspirational. Let us be the love and light the world so desperately needs. Thank you for putting more peace and love in this world!

Everything in the world would be better if we would let an unselfless love direct our actions.... Putting others before ourselves when it matters.... If everyone would do that (and not just a handfull), everyone's lives would improve....

Thoughtful post, Peggy.... And I love this photograph you took. It IS an interesting shot of their reactions.

Those are beautiful and enlightened words Peggy. I particularly like "Let us look lovingly upon the present, for it holds only knowledge that is forever true"

I would love to carry out all those thoughts and put them into practice, but I have discovered taoism, which speaks of 'doing nothing' (and no - it's not me just being lazy!!!) I'm reading up on it and it is blowing my mind!

Excellent words, Peggy. Whatever lies ahead of us won't pass us by.

Caroline - I know this may sound corny and a mutual admiration society but I get alot of inspiration from your posts. That "Golden" post was beautiful.

HO - Love your sense of humour mate! Now if we can just get it from the paper into practise!

Annemarie - Yes the philosophy classes are having quite an impact on my thought processes....it will probably dry up soon. I'd love to get back to making a few scrapblogs as I miss that medium.

Roban - "Putting others before ourselves when it matters"....I think most of the people I know do that....it gives us a wonderful feeling inside being selfless.
Glad you liked the photo...I have it hanging on my wall at home. It brings back so many memories for me.

Have to head off to work now.
Be back later...

very nice. I like the part about choosing your experience. I really believe that you experience things how you want to experience them and you CAN choose!

Stoneweaver - We are studying Taoism in my philosophy group and after that session I wrote a post on "Embracing the Fullness of Nothing" on 22nd July.
I can see why it is "blowing your mind". If we could open up our mind, would it look like a beautiful palace or temple, or would it look like a junk heap? I am striving to going from the junk heap to the palace.

Jen - That song "Ordinary Day" I heard on another person's blog. It's lovely isn't it.
From reading your blog your life is focuced on giving, not getting. You are a very kind, compassionate person....it will be a thrill to meet you one day.

Mike - I'm with you mate. It's a clear choice that lies in wait at every turn on life's highway.

Patty - I agree we are birds of a feather. I will pop on over to your photo website shortly.
Thanks for stopping by.

Lisa - Looking forward to getting to know you too. There are so many interesting, likeminded people in the blogosphere.

Shannon - Yes I believe if we are in tune with our inner true essence/feelings/beliefs or soul we can choose our experiences.
We just have to be very careful what we ask for.

I don't think your mind could possibly be a junk heap Peggy - you've done too much work and philosophising for that.

My mind is more like a library - knowledge about all sorts of things. Only trouble is that the books have been put back in the wrong places so I can never find what I'm looking for !! Maybe it is time to empty it out, after all what do I really need? I bet Lao Tzu has something to say about knowledge...
