Making Memories

The evening closes in on a warm summer's day and also another year.

The wine is coursing through me and through my friends but not down into the tributary of political discourse that can end up in an almighty row, but down the waterfalls of laughing memory.

Long forgotten stories and cackles emerge of times past while grand plans are made for the future still to be lived.

Sharing bread, barbeques, wine and those generous anecdotes - the simple gentleness of caring for the people we love.

Here's hoping 2019 is an awesome year for all of us. May everyone experience calm, peace, excellent health and success.

And may it be filled with good food, good friends and good memories......oh yes and good wine!

"Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right."

political discourse vs. laughing memories - that's an easy choice for me. Lighten up and laugh, it's healthy. I'm hopeful for hearing some enjoyable memories during an upcoming reunion with a number of my cousins.
Wishing you the best in the new year which you down-under-people always start before us.

Hey Bill
Yeah lighten up and laugh is a great motto to live by.
Hope your cousins reunion is enjoyable, I don't get together with my cousins as often as I would like to these days, but when we do it's non stop chatter and a walk down memory lane as we all grew up together is the same neighbourhood.
Take care and keep shining in 2019.

It will be a good year because a lot of us will work to make it so on various levels - personal, family, community, and world. We will do this despite personal challenges (known and coming) and despite the dastardly actions of those who do not practice love and light. Happy New Year.

Dear Candelaria
Lovely to read a comment from you and a very wise one too.
I feel if we focus on what we could be doing differently for ourselves and for others it would be a win win for everyone and the chain reaction would then expand, like you said, to the community and the ultimately the world.
Namaste
