Spiritual Virtual Reality

Dreamland is the original cyberspace, our own built-in spiritual virtual reality.

Our dreams take us into other worlds, alternative realities that help us make sense of day-to-day life.

Dreaming is a connection to our unconscious, to our selves.

It is to be treasured.

Isn't it extraordinary that an activity which takes up so much of our lives is so often relegated into the realms of unimportance.

We are based on dreams, they are our centre.

Listen to them.

"Dreams are like stars....you may never touch them, but if you follow them they will lead you to your destiny."

Taken in Wisconsin, USA in August 2010. It was early in the morning and we had gone to the pier to watch the Tall ships arrive. As you could imagine we saw very little.

I should dream some more today, nice post! That fog reminds me of when we went on this tour to the top of this tall mountain in Switzerland to see the view and it was all fog. Sheesh.

Peggy it was The Eagles Nest in Germany where we went on tour and it was so foggy we saw nothing! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kehlsteinhaus, and it took forever to get up there! We were warned that we were taking our chances, but such is the weather.

Milwaukee? I remember the tall ships in Chicago and also once in Boston.
Day dreams, sleep dreams or dreams of hope are all experiences we have but too many just quickly discard them. I suspect good sleep dreamers are more creative than others.
All this dream talk has me thinking of "I Had Too Much To Dream" by Electric Prunes. (that band name would go well with seniors)

We dream during the day as well as when we're asleep. And all of us should have dreams. Hope you're well, my friend.

@Christine - Yes fog can certainly spoil a lovely view. A few years ago I went to Cradle Mountain in Tasmania, Australia and missed it completely. I suppose I could use it as an excuse to go back to Tasmania again, it is a beautiful island.

@Bill - I was staying in Green Bay, Wisconsin - a lovely spot. My friend who I was staying with also took me Segway riding for the first time and now I am totally hooked.
I am able to remember most of my dreams – the result of being a light sleeper, I suppose. I don't over analyse them but I am often puzzled by them.
I am not familiar with "I Had Too Much To Dream" by Electric Prunes.

@Mike - I do heaps of day-dreaming, especially when I am walking by myself. It is a wonderful time to reflect. I also have a bucket list full of dreams!
I am very well thanks, hope you are also.

I love day dreaming and feel quite deprived when I am too busy.
When I have space to day dream then I am also able to write and feel more balanced. Enjoy your dreams dear Peggy

Hi Marja
I read that when we stand in the shower, wondering what we're going to do at work that day, sometimes we can have this breakthrough that we never would have achieved if we'd laboured on the problem using a very attentive, focused approach.
I do love long hot showers especially on these cold Sydney mornings.

May you always find the time to day dream, to keep those creative juices flowing.
Big heart hugs xxxx
