Everything is Temporary

Thoughts on a cold, wet Saturday in Sydney, Australia

We all make choices in our life, the hard thing to do is to live with them.

We all make mistakes that we want to put behind us.

To be good at anything we have to make a routine of it.

Social media have changed the way we work, the way we live, and the way we make and maintain friendships.

Hope tomorrow the sun will shine again as Keren Ann quoted "Everything is temporary. Everything is bound to end"

"Never make permanent decisions on temporary feelings."

we all make mistakes that we want to put behind us...this rings so true and is worth putting out there as a kind of comfort...we are all human.

Yes we all make mistake and sometimes we wish that we could do it over again but we learn the most from our mistakes.

Hey Marja
We certainly do learn the most important lessons from our mistakes/failures. They are gifts, gems, guideposts and teach us to accept our fallibility and face our fear.
Mistakes can also teach us to take responsibility and allow us to inspire others.

From the above comment Marja you can see how the sun has enlightened my mood.

Take care dear friend.

Hi Debra
If we wrote down our thoughts each day they would be interesting to read at the end of the month.
Take care

As always, Peggy, you seem to find the right words. I made the mistake last night of going to the pub for a swift half before going home. If only Mrs Smith could put this behind her...

There are no mistakes, only opportunities for learning and perfectly timed moments to practise forgiveness.

I make lots of mistakes, so I get a lot of practice!

The hardest thing is when you seek forgiveness and it is not given. At that point, if you have sincerely apologised, it is time to let go. It is the other person's problem.

We all make mistakes yes luckily because we mostly learn from our mistakes.
Yes everything is temporary. The only constant in live is change. The thing to learn is not to get attached to anything too much but just enjoy it fully as long as it is there.
Lots of wisdom in a few words.A thing you gained and uses to the optimal :)

Hi Celia (Beautiful Sky)
Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment.
Many people live and act in ways to prevent mistakes, not taking risks, expanding their comfort zones or jumping outside the boxes they hide in.
I have come to realise my mistakes and failures are gifts and guideposts in my learning and growth. Just about every day I receive a gift!!!

When seeking forgiveness and it is not accepted, I guess the best thing that you can do is be grateful for the gifts you received from the friendship and let it be and move on.

Take care dear friend. xxxxx

Hi Marja
Well I'm lucky aren't I, as this is your second comment on this post - must be time for a new post!

I like your thoughts about not getting attached to anything, I am trying to live my life without attachments - the appropriative word being try!
Attachments can bring suffering, whereas being open to the comings and goings of life can bring a sense of ease.

Keep shining my friend. xxxxxx

even though I'm a bit of blog break I still like to read a few posts.
I enjoy thought provoking posts.
Everything is temporary, yes, but if we constantly relive our past mistakes the temporary lasts longer than it should. Can't drive forward with your rear view mirror. Learn and move on.
thanks for reminding me of this.

Hi Bill
Thanks for stopping by and adding to the conversation even though you are on a blog break.

Regarding your "can't drive forward with your rear view mirror" - Often it is great to look back and reflect on what we have done, what has worked and what has failed, however if we try to drive by looking behind us we will not be very successful. Reflecting is a good thing and it can help us understand where we have come from but if we try to drive by using our rear view mirror by only reflecting and not looking forward, we will crash. The “good ole days” are behind us and what “might be” stands in front of us. We cannot go back in time (yet) so I feel we must reflect on the past and then focus on the future.

Take care and enjoy your break.
