Here are a few reflections of my life through photos. I have been sharing these photos on Facebook so some of you may already have seen them.
St Mark's Square, Venice, Italy 2004.....being loved by pigeons!
Havana, Cuba, Feb 2003 - It was fun being driven around in these yellow Coco taxis.
Somewhere in Cuba, Feb 2003 - Plowing a field...only pretending!
Trying out the Cuban Cigars at home in Sydney, April 2003
One of my favourite photos of the time I spent in Rwanda with these kids, Nov 2006.

Great song again to go along with your post. And "River" is one of my favorites. I love to sing along with Sarah.
What a seasoned traveller and a generous person. You looked so cool with the cigar! ;)

Dear sweet friends, I was feeling a bit sad today for no particular reason or maybe because I sense some of my friends sadness but coming here and reading these lovely comments really cheered me up.
You all make such a difference....yes you do and don't ever forget it. Your kindness is contagious, it is a proven fact.
The memories I have from blogging will be cherished for many years.

Totally gorgeous!
I especially loved the one in St. Mark's Square with the pigeons. Just wonderful.
Happy Christmas. xxxx
Thanks Sarah, seeing that photo again with the pigeons takes me right back in time. Venice is such a magical place, a place where you literally get lost all the time.
We were there for a week and I think only on the last day was I able to find my way back to the hotel without getting lost.....but I love getting lost, you come across some interesting places.....never to be found again the next day! :)
Delightful post and blog you have. I have not heard that song before from The Pretenders. Thank you for sharing miruspeg. Blessings.
Awesome photos! I have never had the pleasure of being loved by pigeons...seriously, that would be so cool!
You have led a very interesting life...very different from my life here in IL. That is why I love your blog! :)
It's so much fun to have experiences that you love - when you look back at them , it brings back the pleasure.
Glad you explored so many places and tried the things that you did :)
thanks for sharing your lovely memories and have a great Christmas and New Years as we head into the new decade (scary to think 10 years can go by so fast)

Hey I love this post!! That photo in St Marc's Square is brilliant! You are right - Venice is the sort of place where you just wander along and then chance upon something magical.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas - and a memorable 2010!
P.S. Thank you for your friendship - a blessing in my life. :o)
Thankyou for your beautiful comments. I do treasure your friendship enormously.
My Christmas wish is that everyone reading this goes out and hugs someone.....heck just hug everyone. You might never know it, but your hug might just make the difference for someone who is struggling at this time of the year.
Keep shining your light, one person can make a difference.
Lots of love
Peggy xxxx

Oh no worries there Peggy! I'm a 'hug monster'. People never enter or leave my house without one! Remind me to tell you the story about 'The plumber' some time.... my sister still has fits of giggles over it.
Peggy- I'd love to visit those places, though not much for cigars and pigeon poop. Great photos and memories. Could use a hug, actually. ~rick
Well Rick here comes a monster hug(((((((((RICK)))))))).
I have hugged and been hugged so much over the last couple of days I know they will sustain me right through 2010 if needed.
Keep shining you beautiful man.
