A Friend of the Truest Kind

A friend.......

is someone who keeps your secrets

and never divulges them, even if tortured -

or worse, tempted with chocolate!

is someone who quietly destroys the photograph

that makes you look like a beached whale.

is someone who knows you don't know

what you're talking about, but allows you to reach

that conclusion on your own.

is someone who goes with you on a diet -

and off it too.

is someone who doesn't say "I told you so."

no matter how tempting it might be.

A friend of the truest kind is kind and true.

"Life is partly what we make it, and partly what it is made by the friends we choose."
~~ Tennessee Williams American playwright. 1911-1983)

  1. Well, Peggy, I am with Poetikat. Chocolate can be a deal breaker. Sorry. LOL

Seriously, I am glad to know you will delete pictures from the memory card or carefully crop them and digitally picnik them. :-)

  7. Hi cyber buddies!

Simple moments are the best treasures, like when you read comments from your regular followers, and it lifts you up and makes you smile. That is a simple moment. I hope you all have many of those today.

And yes Christine I did pen these words.

    Love and hugs all round.

  8. Thank you for answering a few of my questions!

Dolphins....I think you need to add swimming with them to your Bucket List 3 or 4 more times at least! When they are your totem animals, it may be considered soaking with old friends :)

Loved learning a bit more about you, too!
    Enjoy your weekend!
