I was also thinking of the great movies they could play at the museum. Great car scenes!!!
Tom Cruise driving down highway singing "Free Falling" for one. And, Thelma and Louise, Gone in 60 seconds, Rainman. I guess now people dream of being able to fly..really fly. Maybe without cars people will again dream of "Riding On Down the Highway!"
Sad... "Say is ain't True:)

By the way, my first car was a 1965 Red Chevy Nova Convertible purchased in 1977. Wish I had a picture of that one!!Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01976580812752160878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-620413414268418377.post-2282683598696739112008-10-13T01:07:00.000+11:002008-10-13T01:07:00.000+11:00I was way too talkative a moment ago! I'll have to add the herb and cherry tomato to get the real flavor of your dish.

Lucky you to have a bartering system with the neighbor! Sounds like an excellent trade-off.

I didn't see the photograph of you in your Sprite last time I was on. It reminded me of the Kharmann Ghia VW (non-convertible) and an MG Midget I once owned.

Have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by this morning.

RobanRobanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02240975327890268321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-620413414268418377.post-44250243494435891832008-10-13T01:04:00.000+11:002008-10-13T01:04:00.000+11:00This comment has been removed by the author.Robanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02240975327890268321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-620413414268418377.post-7059430985757713792008-10-12T23:11:00.000+11:002008-10-12T23:11:00.000+11:00Priceless thoughts. I sat giggling at the idea of Gary, and I sitting on the reclining couch, saying, "Don't make me put the legs of this chair down and come back there!" to children who are mischievously arguing in the dining chairs behind us, saying, "I'm not touching you" as my brother and I used to in the back of my mother's Impala Station Wagon.

In my house, we forgo trips to the movies and such and use our ticket and snacks money to take drives. I can't be confined to the house. It drives me insane. And with the price of movies and snacks (as I have mentioned before,) it's almost enough to fill my tank so we can go to town festivals or just drive and learn the difference between a cow and a horse. (Something my son has difficulty with since we are Suburbanites.)McMGrad89https://www.blogger.com/profile/01724953414601437820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-620413414268418377.post-9450492553164241942008-10-12T12:51:00.000+11:002008-10-12T12:51:00.000+11:00What great thinking you put into this! As I was reading, I was imagining the family car sitting rusted and ruined in the driveway with the family piled in for their "pretend" trip.

Today's headlines here promised lower prices, and I have seen them trickle down over the past few weeks. Perhaps the museum can wait... a little while longer?

Hugs,Robanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02240975327890268321noreply@blogger.com
